Our October Sunday Assembly looks at how this moment seems to be a real time for change. Some of that change is coming at us from outside, and some is being generated by new awareness of potential. We are thrilled to welcome human rights activist Sir Geoff Palmer as our special guest speaker this month. Professor Emeritus at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Sir Geoff has been in the headlines recently as he speaks out about the importance of addressing historic wrongs in the present day. We are looking forward to hearing from him about his experiences and what gives him hope for the future.
There will also be the usual mix of songs to sing along with, poems, reflections and a chance to chat with fellow assemblers. All are welcome at Edinburgh’s ‘secular congregation’ where we meet to celebrate life and strive to Live Better, Help Often and Wonder More.
