Singing, inspiring talks, poems, reflections, chats, community, tea and cake – that’s Sunday Assembly!
Sunday Assembly, the global movement of wonder and good for ‘churches without God’, continues in Edinburgh with our March assembly themed Disco To Go with outdoor silent DJ Sage. She says:
“As a teacher, a wellbeing and recovery coach and a drama facilitator, I have always had a strong desire to help you tap into your inner creativity. After a struggle with alcohol addiction and a childhood love of music and a desire to be a DJ, I offer unique and bespoke silent disco workshops and events, by creating themed music playlists that are fun, interactive and inclusive, inspire you to reclaim your inner power by connecting to yourself, and each other, in new and creative ways, so that together, we can help make the world a more loving and harmonious place.”
What an excellent topic for a Sunday Assembly! And as usual there will be songs to sing with our house band, poems, reflections, chats, tea and cake. Join Edinburgh’s ‘secular congregation’ and get your New Year off to a great start. We are about inclusive community, inspiring ourselves, supporting others and celebrating this life.
Sunday 5 March 2023, 11.30am, Lifecare Edinburgh, 2 Cheyne St, Stockbridge EH4 1JB. Free to attend, family and dog friendly (we’ll even have a dog bowl this time!).
