December’s online Sunday Assembly is all about how to live better by finding and pursuing your purpose. We are excited to welcome Eloise Skinner, author of The Purpose Handbook (2021) as our special guest speaker. Eloise studied at Cambridge, trained at Oxford and practised as a corporate lawyer, but after some soul-searching (including a year training to be a monk!) she followed her passion into psychotherapy.
Eloise will speak about her pursuit of purpose over the last decade, including her studies in existential therapy, her year in a monastic community and her trainings in yoga and meditation. She will focus on the practical lessons on ‘finding purpose’ that she learned from this broad range of experiences, and will share actionable steps to navigate the topic of purpose in our own lives.
And of course there will be our usual distinctive mixture of songs to enjoy, poems, reflections, and the chance to chat with fellow assemblers. Join Edinburgh’s ‘secular congregation’ for about an hour as we celebrate life together and seek to live better, help often and wonder more.
