Sunday Assembly, the global movement of wonder and good for ‘churches without God’, celebrates our tenth anniversary this month! And we’re thrilled that our guest speaker for January is co-founder Pippa Evans who set up, sang, spoke and generally made it happen a decade ago. Pippa is now a resident of Edinburgh, and this is a marvellous opportunity to hear the SA story from the inside. Whether you’re a long-time assembler or it’s your first time, this is a great way to start 2023 as we celebrate life and seek to Live Better, Help Often and Wonder More.
Pippa Evans is (as you probably know) a comedian, actor, improvisor and musician, often all at the same time. She is a member of Showstopper! The Improvised Musical (Fringe stars for many years) and will be on your wireless over the festive season in I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue.
As usual there will be songs to sing with our house band, poems, reflections, chats, tea and cake. Join Edinburgh’s ‘secular congregation’ and get your New Year off to a great start.
Sunday 8 January 2023, 11.30am, Lifecare Edinburgh, 2 Cheyne St, Stockbridge EH4 1JB. Free to attend, family and dog friendly.
