Have you ever wondered endlessly about doing something, thinking about whether to do it or not? Standing on the edge and wondering whether to jump in? Alex Owen-Hill has a message for you: “Just try it!”. Alex will be speaking about his experience of approaching life as a series of experiments, and will share some great ideas and insights about the benefits of trying things out. Alex spoke to us a couple of years ago about the benefits of play for people of all ages, and we are delighted to be welcoming him back for a return visit to Sunday Assembly Edinburgh.
There will also be our usual mix of poems, songs, reflections and of course cake. As we approach the holiday season, the songs will also take on a festive note (Fairytale of New York is on the agenda…). As always it’s a fun and free way to join others and celebrate life together in a family-friendly ‘godless’ context.
The assembly on Sunday 1st December will be followed by our annual Festive Shindig – a potluck lunch party with games, activities, songs and fun with the Sunday Assembly community. We are co-hosting the event with our friends from Happy Café Edinburgh this year, so expect a happiness theme to the proceedings. Tickets for the Festive Shindig are limited – please buy now (£5/ £1 for children and concessions).
