Sunday Assembly, the global movement of wonder and good for ‘churches without God’, continues in Edinburgh with our June assembly. It is on the theme Extra Years Of Zest with guest speaker James Wells. James is CEO of Lifecare Edinburgh (where we meet every month) and we are looking forward to hearing more about what goes on there when we’re not around. LifeCare is a charity which supports the independence and wellbeing of older people, those with dementia and carers. Their overarching aim is ‘extra years of zest’ which sounds like a great idea all around
And as usual there will be songs to sing with our house band, poems, reflections, chats, tea and cake. Join Edinburgh’s ‘secular congregation’ and enjoy a wonderful start to your Sunday. We are about inclusive community, inspiring ourselves, supporting others and celebrating this one life we know we have.
Sunday 4 June 2023, 11.30am, Lifecare Edinburgh, 2 Cheyne St, Stockbridge EH4 1JB. Free to attend, family and dog friendly.
Sunday Assembly is always open and free to attend. It helps us if you could please reserve your place at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/extra-years-of-zest-a-sunday-assembly-event-tickets-634765258977
“I’m so thankful to have recently heard of Sunday Assembly and now to have joined. It’s just what I think has been missing for me and everyone is so welcoming and friendly. I’m loving it.” – says a recent member of our ‘congregration’.
