Our February online assembly takes an important theme – the courage to be kind. Our guest speaker is Ben Thurman from Carnegie UK, who has been working for several years on the importance of kindness for personal, community and societal wellbeing. One focus of this has been to talk to medics about the importance of kindness in the healthcare response to the pandemic, and how that may or may not persist as things move on. We are looking forward to welcoming Ben to Sunday Assembly Edinburgh!
There will also be songs to enjoy together, poems, reflections, and the chance for a chat with fellow assemblers. Join Sarah our host and our community of ‘secular congregationalists’ as we strive to Live Better, Help Often and Wonder More and celebrate life together in a non-religious fashion.
We’re meeting online at 11.30am on Sunday 6th February 2022. If you are not already registered (and most of you are!) please do so in advance at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJUuc-Cgrj8rHNM24RG9ookmE_3XiSAzPRGr.
We are hoping and intending to return to face-to-face assemblies in March 2022, new variants permitting. We intend to livestream these assemblies so that an online audience can continue to join us.
