Sunday Assembly 9th January 2022: Tune Up – How music affects your mind, body and mood

Sunday Assembly Edinburgh continues to meet online in January 2022. This month, unusually, we are meeting on the SECOND Sunday. Our theme this month is Tune Up: How Music Affects Your Mind, Body and Mood, with guest speaker (and SA Edinburgh Chair) Mark McKergow.

A musician for decades, Mark has been fascinated for many years by how we are affected by music – whether we want to be affected or not! Mark has used music as part of his learning events and courses for many years, for organisations as diverse as the RAF, Nationwide and HMRC. He will be sharing research about how we can use music to support the lives we want to lead – a great way to start 2022.

There will also be the usual songs to enjoy together, poems, reflections, and the chance to chat and reflect with fellow assemblers. Join Edinburgh’s ‘secular congregation’ as we celebrate life together without religion and strive to Live Better, Help Often and Wonder More. The assembly will take about an hour and is free to attend. We would love to welcome you into our inclusive community.

Pre-registration is required (most of you are already registered from pervious events). The link to register is https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJUuc-Cgrj8rHNM24RG9ookmE_3XiSAzPRGr

We are back with a mini-assembly on Sunday 23 Jan and then back to the FIRST Sunday from February Sunday 6th Feb onwards.
